The owner Antonio Gaita drifts from one mustard-yellow table to the next, making personal recommendations and trading stories and compliments with customers in each of the two cozy dining rooms. While his expansive menu dutifully covers traditional meat and pasta dishes, from chicken Marsala and baked ziti to fettuccine Alfredo, it's the seafood offerings that merit special attention. Delicately breaded and drizzled with herb-infused olive oil, the jumbo-sized shrimp oreganate and accompanying baked clams makes for an ideal shared appetizer.

I grew up in Park Slope and have seen the rise of more pretensious, less food and service oriented establishments. Tonio's is always great...and 2 2008-07-23 14:46:23 This place has much better food than some other and more popular Italian places in the neighborhood, but someone needs to hire a decorator! The staff was very, very nice.
